Google has gone right ahead and accepted the challenge posed by the likes of Flipboard by launching its digital magazine reader, referred to as the Google Currents. This particular application was available previously only in the USA. But now, the leading search engine has officially released it in the wider international market.
Google Currents, particularly is now available in the UK and rest of the European market and that too for IOS and Android run mobile devices.
Google Currents will operate and function on much the same way as the Flipboard that obtained accolades as being the best in the business from various technology sources including the T3 magazine.
The Google Currents application will also get feeds from the leading sources as The Guardian, Huffington Post and TechCrunch, etc .and then go on to reformat the same into more user-friendly articles for its users and it will automatically update as well.
Further, Google Currents will also have tailored content from partiners as also source the same from RSS feeds and stories from Google Plus network circles.
As mentioned, the Google Currents application has now been made available to Apple iOS run devices as well as Android-based mobile phones . This far, the Google Currents has been available to users only in the USA and now has been released in the UK as well as the wider European markets too.
With this, Google can hope to elevate the standard of its Google Currents application to the level of Flipboard.
