LG GW620 MObile Phone Review

LG GW620 is a beautifully designed phone with 3G network capacity and touchscreen support. The phone also has a slider from which a QWERTY keyboard appears. The phone looks completely smooth and has the right curves in making a style statement. Starting with the first impression, I was hooked. I loved its large display and the minimal buttons that it had on the main body. I’ve not been fond of phones where there are excessive buttons cluttering the design and thus there is compromise on the display size. The device has three buttons underneath the screen for dialing, call ending and a multi purpose navigation button. On the sides are spaces for microSD card slot and volume buttons.

The phone’s TFT touch felt display is spectacular for quick navigation. The screen measures 3 inches in size and has the ability to display 256K colours. A 320 X 480 pixels display size is great for surfing the web and for viewing videos. Also, accelerometer function makes it easy for me to view videos and use various applications/games even when am lying down as the screen changes its orientation according to the way I hold the device.

There is an external memory slot for microSD data cards. This can hold up to 16GB of data in various file formats supported by the phone. In this memory 1000 phone book entries can be stored besides the memory available in SIM cards. Call records for received, dialed and missed calls can be viewed at any time.

LG GW620 has a primary camera of 5 megapixel which can take pictures in a resolution of 2560 X 1920 pixels. Auto focus, digital zoom, photo editor help in further improving the quality of the already brilliantly captured pictures. Video camera along with an editor help in capturing those moments where still imagery won’t suffice. I’m quite surprised to not see a second camera on this phone despite 3G services being available.

Now to the best part of this phone, its Android operating system. Android being a Google developed highly advanced and easy to use operating system would definitely entice many people to buy it. At least I was one of them. This would mean all of Google’s applications such as Mail, Maps, News etc. would come pre-installed or can be easily installed. Another of my favourite feature is the threaded text messaging interface. There have been so many instances where I’ve lost track of the conversation taking place due to something or the other. Now this issue wouldn’t bother me as I can see all the messages from a certain contact in a threaded form.

O.M.G, the LG GW620 is a state of the art mobile phone powered by Google Anroid mobile OS, which is designed predominantly for the younger global audience. In my opinion this is LG GW620’s biggest selling point being able to ‘message and browse on the move’.

With the LG GW620 you will be able to use both Spotify and Google services such as Google map 2.0 and Spotify download services. Well that’s real competition for Google.
